What to expect in this role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the design, development, and execution of automated test solutions. Your expertise in test automation frameworks, tools, and methodologies will be instrumental in driving efficiency, scalability, and accuracy in our testing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of automated testing solutions, frameworks, and tools to effectively validate software functionality, performance, and stability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and QA analysts, to understand system requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.

  • Develop and execute test scripts, test cases, and test scenarios to verify software functionalities, using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks.

  • Identify and prioritize areas for test automation and develop strategies to maximize automation coverage, efficiency, and effectiveness.

  • Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior members of the QA automation team to ensure high-quality deliverables.

  • Continuously monitor and analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

  • Implement and maintain test data management and test environment setups to support automated testing activities.

  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-up meetings.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in test automation, and provide recommendations for process improvements.



Qualifications and Tech Proficiency


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Extensive experience (at least 5 years) in QA automation, including test planning, test design, test script development, and test execution.

  • Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools, such as Cypress

  • Solid programming skills in languages such as Java with the ability to write efficient and maintainable automation scripts.

  • Demonstrated expertise in agile testing methodologies and working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive them to resolution.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work in cross-functional teams.

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
