About the position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Settlements Operations Analyst to help position us for future growth and success. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and maintaining accurate and comprehensive data related to financial instruments, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our trading and back-office operations.

What you’ll do

  • Provide clearing back office support to investment advisors and their clients
  • Support escalations to resolution and provide feedback to management and product partners for continuous improvement
  • Reviews daily trade reports generated from the back-office clearing platform FIS/Phase 3 as well as external communications from counterparties, rectifying breaks and issues identified.
  • Utilize the FIS/Phase 3 system to process trade comparisons and corrections.
  • Conduct comparisons of fixed-income trades in FICC CMU and report fixed income transactions in FINRA TRACE and MSRB RTRS Web.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve trade, cash, and position reconciliation issues to ensure accurate transaction recording in appropriate systems and facilitate successful settlement.
  • Support Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) Settlement functions and related processes such as Buy-Ins, Obligation Warehouse, and RECAPS.
  • Review fail exposure & accurately report to senior regulatory management teams
  • Reconcile daily possession and control issues
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of a centralized security information database, including ticker symbols, ISIN codes, CUSIP numbers, and other relevant identifiers.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across various systems and databases.
  • Collaborate with other teams to address and rectify any data-related problems promptly.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement and enhance systems that support security master functions.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements and assess their applicability to improve data management processes.
  • Maintain documentation of processes and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

What you’ll bring

  • 3+ years of experience working within back office operations, specifically in trade clearance and settlements for a self-clearing broker-dealer
  • Expert knowledge with DTC, NSCC, Obligation Warehouse, SMART Track, and other DTCC suite applications
  • Settlement, buy-in, fail control, and/or seg experience
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to easily convey complex matters in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Ability to build a team. Strong coaching skills
  • Strong self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Comfortable working with large and complex data sets
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and adapt to changing environment
  • Able to multi-task and work under pressure
  • FINRA Series 7 and/or 99, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of employment

Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package along with equity in the form of Stock Options (ISOs).
